Introduction

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to visit this wordpress blog. Of all the sites on all the web you ended up here! In return I hope that I can make this wordpress exciting and interesting to view and would love for any feedback.

Why “Mesmerising”? – I love playing with words and I feel that this particular word, while being phonetically pleasing to the ear, also conjures up plenty of imagery. I have used this word to link my pages for easy access, as well as to remind me what I am seeking to accomplish with this site. I am hoping to be articulate in my writing yet also mesmerising in both visuals and text content.

Training in Teaching Technology (TTT) is my website for a university Information Technology course. Yet at the same time I wish to document my own learning, particularly through learning technology. In this way I have provided information about me to set the context and to allow readers to understand who I am. I will be blogging regularly (I assume!) about the lectures and tutorial information then following up this informal post by creating a page on how to utilise particular aspects into the primary classroom. I will also post some of the teaching resources I have made throughout the years and have a links page for quick access to other websites i feel are valuable for teaching.

In Summary

the PURPOSE of

this website is to:

- To document my own learning and discovery

- To explore the new forms of communication, in particularly websites and blogs

- To create an appealing and ‘mesmerising’ website that can be used as a resource for teachers

- To fulfill the criteria of the Information Technology Unit

- To critically reflect on my own learning and understanding of teaching and the world of technology.
